Wahooz birthday party

We just love birthday parties! This was our first one of the year for Dominik Orwid at Wahooz. It's a great place for kids with go karts, mini golf, water park, and full arcade with tokens and tickets. Sloane is just a bit to small for most of that stuff, but she had such a great time running around the arcade and pushing the buttons and watching the lights without caring about tickets and tokens! Phil says it will probably the be the cheapest day we ever have there until she figures out what all that stuff is :)

The Fair!!

Oh boy - it's fair time again! Last year, Sloane was a bit too little to enjoy the fair. While she is still pretty small, she had a better idea this year of what was going on around her. This year, she was able to sample some of the food, run around the petting zoo, ride some of the rides and had her VERY FIRST PONY RIDE! (very proud mama, here.) Porter just hung out in his bucket, as usual but I saw him crack a smile every now and again :)

McCall vacation!

A new baby makes summer vacations difficult so we decided to stick closer to home this year. We spent a full week in McCall at our cabin with Grandma and Grandpa Suitter. They brought over the gator and 4 wheelers and we spent the whole week golfing, 4 wheeling, eating and hanging out outside because the weather was gorgeous! We also went to the big airshow that was in town to see the airplanes and the annual classic wooden boat show at Shore Lodge Marina.

Now more Porter...

Porter is now 1 month old and getting used to life on the outside. He's had his first bath (hated it, now loves it) worn all of his new newborn clothes, and loves the swing. He's even had his first real photo shoot at 8 days old (those pics to follow soon!)

More kiddo pics

With the arrival of new baby brother Porter, we expected some jealousy issues from Sloane that are normal. However, she has taken it much better than we expected. Although she isn't exactly fawning over him 24/7, she does occasionally express interest and give a kiss or 2 when she feels like it. So long as somebody is showing her attention, she's happy. She even now happily welcomes the babysitters because she knows she has someone to play with. Mom now jokingly (and lovingly) refers to Sloane as "chopped liver." She loves it.

Porter Robert Winters

He's finally here! Porter Robert Winters was born Sunday, June 27th at 3:59 a.m. under a full moon! He was 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. Labor and recovery went fantastic and everyone is home, healthy and recovering well. Grandma and Grandpa Suitter were there and so was Grandma Dyer. Porter came just in time for Grandma Dyer to hold him and catch her 5:45 a.m. flight back to Atlanta! Grandma and Grandpa Suitter stayed in town to help out for a couple of weeks and Phil has taken lots of time off work to be a full time Daddy! Life is good at the Winters'!

What Sloane has been up to

I know the real reason everyone reads this is to see what Sloane has been up to, so here's a taste:

Learning how to drive a golf cart,

Wearing fancy skirts,

Watching Baby Einstein,

Learning how to eat with a spoon and fork,

Reading with Dad,

Riding the apple ride at Babies R Us with Grandma Dyer,

Chasing bubbles on the deck,

Still mastering the fork,

Wearing Daddy's shoes,

Taking airplane rides to see Grandma Suitter
